Tools for Managing Stress on the Farm

March 2020

The life of a farmer includes a substantial degree of stress. Variable weather conditions, market trends and a multitude of other forces impose challenging demands.

To help farmers and their families manage stress, Florida Farm Bureau Federation has created a Quick Link that includes a number of resources available for anyone who needs them. Visit the Quick Links menu on the Federation website and click on Coping with Stress.

The American Farm Bureau has developed a Rural Resiliency program to assist with stress management in partnership with Michigan State University and other sponsors. To access these materials, visit https://www.canr.msu.edu/managing_farm_stress/.

Your family physician is usually a basic source of information and care, as necessary.
