Statewide Meeting Honors Volunteer Members

October 24, 2019

Florida Farm Bureau will celebrate its 78th anniversary at the Caribe Royale Orlando Resort, Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2019. The meeting will include award and recognition programs to honor outstanding young farmers and ranchers, state lawmakers and the accomplishments of county Farm Bureaus and individual members for their distinguished service to agriculture.

“We are honored to recognize our volunteer members at our 78th annual meeting,” said Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick. “This year’s theme, Be the Voice, Live the Legacy, symbolizes the collective strength of our grassroots members when they come together as an organization to accomplish a goal and the legacy they leave behind for the next generation of farmers and ranchers.”

Florida Farm Bureau voting delegates will discuss and approve policy resolutions submitted by county Farm Bureaus and Florida Farm Bureau state advisory committees. These resolutions will be adopted as Farm Bureau policy for 2020.

Other convention highlights include a President’s Awards Banquet, a legislative luncheon recognizing Florida Farm Bureau’s Legislators of the Year, the Commissioner of Agriculture’s Ag-Environmental Leadership Awards Breakfast, informative break-out sessions and a member benefits tradeshow.
