Rep. Paul Renner has received Florida Farm Bureau’s 2018 Legislator of the Year award for his outstanding leadership during the 2018 legislative session.
Speaking on behalf of citizens in St. Johns, Flagler and Volusia counties, Rep. Renner played a leading role in securing critical tax relief for farmers and ranchers who suffered major losses due to Hurricane Irma.
As chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Renner was committed to providing as much storm-related assistance to as many agricultural producers around the state as possible. He has sought to give tangible assistance to farm families so they can recover from a brutal natural disaster.
“Rep. Renner has been a solid, effective advocate for agriculture,” said Florida Farm Bureau President John L. Hoblick. “We sincerely thank him for his efforts to support our state’s farmers and ranchers during the 2018 legislative session.”
Rep. Renner has served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives since 2015.
