“The USITC determination is extremely disappointing,” said Florida Farm Bureau President John L. Hoblick following the USITC negative determination on injury to domestic blueberry producers.
“The Florida growers’ testimony, alongside the compelling data collected by our public institutions, made a solid case in favor of injury to our domestic markets. Yesterday’s decision disregards these effects, and instead, allows current trade inequities to remain in place without meaningful remedy or recourse.
“Our specialty crop farmers will needlessly struggle until federal policymakers view food production through the lens of national security.
“We will continue the fight for a level playing field with the Florida delegation and our industry.”
