Farmers Recognized for Environmental Stewardship

IMG_0617Ten farm families in the Suwannee River and Santa Fe River Basins will receive a coveted statewide award for their outstanding achievements in preserving land and water resources.

WHAT: Recognition dinner and event for recipients of Florida Farm Bureau’s County Alliance for Responsible Environmental Stewardship (CARES) Award

WHO: 10 farm families from the following counties:

Alachua: Brandon Overstreet, Kennard Farm

Columbia: Rufus Ogden, Rufus Ogden Farm and Jason Dicks, Kenneth o. Dicks Farms Inc.

Gilchrist: Bart Geiger, Geiger Farms

Jefferson: Kim B. Jones, Bethel Oaks Farm

Levy: Jerry Quincey, Jerry Quincey Farms and Blair Beauchamp, Beauchamp Farm

Madison: Bryan McHargue, MW Land & Cattle Company LLC

Union: Brandon Douglas, Hipp Farms LLC
