Women's Leadership Conference Attendees at the Yarborough Ranch in Geneva

Florida women representing 29 county Farm Bureaus received the Women’s Activity Award Thursday, March 28, at the Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Conference Awards Banquet in Lake Mary.

Recipients of the award were recognized for their contributions to local communities and improving awareness of agriculture through educational programming, leadership service and public outreach.

Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick and State Women’s Leadership Committee Chair Sarah Carte welcomed more than 130 attendees to the three-day conference.

The agenda included interactive workshops on fundraising, leadership, meeting planning and developing positive first impressions, as well as a farm tour in the metro-Orlando area. Attendees had the opportunity to network with women involved in agriculture from all areas of the state and tour local farms.

The conference attendees donated more than 500 items to the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa.
