County Farm Bureaus Across Florida Set Record

July 30, 2019

Florida Farm Bureau has announced that a record number of county Farm Bureaus throughout the state earned top honors for their operations in all five categories evaluated this year.

Fifty-three county Farm Bureaus will receive Awards of Excellence for policy implementation, public relations, organizational management, education and leadership. This historic total reflects healthy, effective, well-rounded local Farm Bureaus across the state.

The awards were determined by volunteers who gathered at the Florida Farm Bureau headquarters in Gainesville to assess the effectiveness of programs and activities led by each county Farm Bureau. The volunteers studied comprehensive applications submitted from all local Farm Bureau offices.

The county Farm Bureaus that receive all five Awards of Excellence and also meet their respective membership quotas are eligible for Florida Farm Bureau’s highest level of achievement for county Farm Bureaus – the President’s Award.

All county Farm Bureau awards will be announced at the 78th Annual Florida Farm Bureau Annual Membership meeting on October 30, 2019 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.
