DeSoto/Charlotte County Young Farmer and Rancher, Morgan Norris, is setting an example for women involved in agriculture. Norris made history in 2017 when she was elected as the first female to serve as chair of Florida Farm Bureau’s State Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee.
She will have completed a one-year term as the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee Chair this month.
“The numbers show that we are no longer on the sidelines,” she said. “I encourage all women involved in agriculture to step up and seek leadership positions that interest them. We deserve the same seat at the table as any other farmer or rancher.”
