Gary Reeder of Palmetto is a recipient of the Fertilizer Institute’s 2017 4R Advocate award. The 4R Advocate Program helps raise awareness of excellent 4R Nutrient Stewardship practices on farms nationwide.

According to a statement by TFI President Chris Jahn, the award “honors those in the industry who are using the 4R principles to increase yields, improve soils and decrease fertilizer’s environmental footprint.”

Reeder (and fellow award recipient, Dennis Coleman of Parrish) will receive an expense-paid trip to the 2017 Commodity Classic where he will be honored at an awards banquet.

Reeder and Parrish are among 10 award recipients who will serve as speakers to help increase awareness of the importance of nutrient management and the 4R program.
