Clay and Kari Fulford are the 2018-2020 District 2 representatives on the Florida Farm Bureau State Young Farmers and Ranchers Leadership Group.
As a Jefferson County native, Clay grew up on his family’s farm, Fulford Family Farms, LLC., in Monticello. He is a fourth-generation row crop farmer growing peanuts and cotton.
Clay’s wife, Kari, grew up in Tallahassee and took part in Equestrian Farms where she enjoyed riding and working with the horses.
Kari is a full-time receptionist at a local dermatology office and gives riding lessons in her spare time. She balances any additional spare time by helping Clay during harvest by helping out with anything from packing cotton to delivering boiled peanuts to customers.
Clay is the Chair of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers program. “We have been drawn to this organization (Farm Bureau), as we love meeting new people and especially people that share the same interest and love for farming,” said Clay.
