EPA Updates Agricultural Worker Protection Standards

The Environmental Protection Agency has announced new rules aimed at strengthening the 20-year old Worker Protection Standard designed to protect farmworkers from toxic pesticides. EPA’s updates reflect extensive stakeholder involvement from federal and state partners and the agricultural community. The rule revisions will be effective approximately 14 months after the rule publishes in the Federal Register.
