Achievement in Ag Award
The Florida Farm Bureau Federation Achievement Award Program is designed to recognize young farmers and ranchers that have excelled in their farming/ranching operations and honed their leadership abilities to superiority. The YF&R Achievement Award has been presented annually at the Florida Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in October. The contestants will be evaluated on a combination of their farming operation growth and financial progress of the operation, FB Leadership, as well as leadership outside of Farm Bureau. Judges will be looking for excellence in management, growth and the scope of the enterprise and self-initiative that has been displayed throughout the operation. A contestant’s participation in Farm Bureau and other organizations is a definite point getter from the judges.
Top three finalists will be announced in July at the Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference, with the On-site Farm judging taking place in early August.

Winner of the State YF&R Achievement Award receives:
- $45,000 cash prize courtesy of Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Companies
- $500 Cash award
- An expense-paid trip to the 2025 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention in Sn Antonio, TX, January 24-28, 2025, where they will represent Florida in the national YF&R competition
