Youth Speech Contest

Each year the Florida Farm Bureau Federation Women's Committee sponsors a Youth Speech Contest starting at the county level. The winner of the county contest competes in a district contest; the district winner then goes to the Florida Farm Bureau Federation Annual Meeting in October to compete in the state competition with the other seven district winners. The deadline for submitting District Winners for State Competition is September 13, 2010.

The topic for 2010 is: What opportunities and/or challenges exist for Florida agriculture in regards to renewable energy and climate change legislation?

Please note the following rule change referring to Farm Bureau policies: Membership in the Farm Bureau is not a requirement; however, contestants must display a positive attitude about agriculture and Farm Bureau policies which can be accessed on our website at http://www.floridafarmbureau.org/issues/policy_book.
