Joe Siegmeister joins Florida Farm Bureau staff

 Joe Siegmeister has joined Florida Farm Bureau Federation as assistant director of Field Services for District Four, an area that includes Alachua, Dixie, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Seminole and Volusia counties. Siegmeister began his duties on April 16.
 
Siegmeister received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Operations Management from the University of Florida.  Prior to employment with Florida Farm Bureau, Siegmeister taught high school in Volusia and Dade counties. He is originally from the Lake Butler area and is a Marine Corp veteran.
 
Florida Farm Bureau employs eight district field representatives who serve as staff liaisons between the state organization and county Farm Bureaus within each district. Siegmeister’s duties include coordinating county meetings and events.  He will work to strengthen the county Farm Bureaus in District Four, as well as promote the organization’s policies at the local, state and national levels.
