Schirard appointed to IRSC trustees board
J. Brantley Schirard Jr. has been appointed to the Indian River State College board of trustees by Gov. Rick Scott.
With members representing all four counties served by IRSC, the nine-member board establishes the policies which govern operation of the college.
Schirard currently is division manager for Blue Goose Growers. He has served as director of the St. Lucie County Farm Bureau for 27 years and as state director of the Florida Farm Bureau Federation since 2006.
Schirard earned an associate in arts degree from IRSC in 1980 and a bachelor of science degree in fruit crops from the University of Florida in 1983.
