FFB President to lead review of cultivar licensing

Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick will convene an Aug. 6 symposium on the management of cultivar releases and licensing by the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. The meeting will be held at the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Baum.


Symposium presenters will discuss the current process of cultivar licensing and its legal requirements. Plant breeders and other stakeholders who attend will an opportunity to offer UF/IFAS researchers and others their perspectives on the process.
