Florida FB Members Marching For Immigration Reform

Florida Farm Bureau members will march from the American Farm Bureau Federation office to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to call attention to the need for reform of federal immigration laws. About 90 Florida farmers, ranchers, growers and staff members are in Washington, D.C, this week to learn about current issues and meet with lawmakers.

The march, themed “Don’t Tie Our Hands! Pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2008,” will include farmers walking with green ribbons wrapped around their hands to symbolize how their hands have been tied for years as a result of inaction on immigration reform. The walk will end at the Longworth House Office Building, where farmers will fan out to meet with their legislators.
