Water Restriction Workshops for South Florida Agriculture
The University of Florida – Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), in conjunction with Florida Farm Bureau Federation, South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), has set up several Water Restriction Workshops for growers to learn more about the current water restrictions and future water availability.
The goal of these meetings are to bring growers, top officials from the Water Management District, IFAS research personnel and FDACS Office of Water Policy experts together to help growers formulate plans to survive through the extreme water shortage. Questions from growers are encouraged as disease pressure, nutrition management, irrigation scheduling and best management practices will be discussed.
