Michael & Brooke Hill, Lake County
Michael and Brooke Hill are fourth generation farmers, the last three of which have been in Central Florida. Michael has had a life-long passion for agriculture and is currently the General Manager of H and A Farms’ blueberry packing operation, the Farm Manager for several blueberry farms throughout the state, as well as a consultant in the Florida blueberry industry.
Brooke is currently the Marketing Director for Southern Hill Farms’ agritourism business, as well as the office manager. They have two children, Trace and Claire Marie, that they enjoy traveling with and they love to spend time on their family’s farm together. Michael is an avid hunter, and Brooke has a passion for travel. They both attended Auburn University where Michael graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics and a minor in Spanish, and Brooke graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
Daniel & Randi Lanier, Polk County
Randi is the Retail Marketing and Brand Manager at the Florida Department of Citrus (FDOC). There, she oversees U.S. Domestic retail programs promoting Florida Orange Juice and Fresh Florida Citrus. She also manages FDOC Brand use for the Global Marketing Team. Randi graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Resource Economics and a Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management.
Daniel is co-owner of Sawmill Citrus Nursery. As the Production Manager, he oversees the nursery operations from propagation to final delivery to the growers. Sawmill Citrus Nursery produces more than 90,000 commercial citrus trees annually. Daniel is a partner in Lanier Cattle, a beef cattle operation, as well as a Real Estate Sales Associate with King Real Estate Services.
Together, Randi and Daniel have recently started their own small cow-calf operation. They are both very active in the Polk County Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee, where Daniel is currently serving as Secretary.
