2012 Brevard County "Run Thru the Ranch"

On May 5th the annual “Run Thru the Ranch” at Kempfer Ranch in Brevard County took place. Runners left the city streets and instead took on a 3.1 mile rural route across the cattle ranch, and there were medals and tee shirts for all, including pink cowboy hats for the ladies. Pancakes, sausage, bananas, water melon, fresh squeezed orange juice and all were served after the race under the oaks and palms.

Jimmy Kempfer and his daughter were on horseback on the trail pointing the runners in the right direction, and Colten Kempfer was on hand with his prize-winning Brahman bull to talk to the runners about raising and showing cattle.
