Celebrate Farm-City Week

Across Florida, communities are coming together to celebrate Farm-City Week and recognize the partnerships and interdependence of rural and urban residents.

I am extremely pleased that over half of our county Farm Bureaus are taking part in a Farm-City Week activity. These events, which range from a meal function to farm tours to informational booths, help to highlight the importance of agriculture to Florida's economy and to all of the citizens of this state. Often people forget or seem to take for granted where their food and fiber come from, we can all use a week like Farm-City to take a moment to appreciate all that agriculture provides.
