Suwannee River CARES recognition event is July 1

Each year the Florida Farm Bureau takes part in recognizing the outstanding efforts of farmers who do their part for the environment. This program is CARES or the County Alliance for Responsible Environmental Stewardship.

On July 1st, myself and several hundred other people will gather at the Stansel Farm & Nursery in Wellborn to recognize 27 farming operations and their owners. I very much enjoy taking part in these events where our producers are thanked and appreciated for the work they do on the farm.
