Florida Farm Bureau members marched with their hands tied to symbolize Congress' lack of action on immigration reform. About 80 members walked six blocks behind a banner that read "Don't Tie Our Hands: Comprehensive Immigration Reform 2008." This message is important to Florida agriculture. I was proud to take part in this demonstration.
Greetings from the nation's Capitol!

I was on a conference call earlier this week with the Future of Florida Agriculture Task Force to discuss the IFAS budget reductions. Brent was one of two teachers who received the award for the middle school agriscience category. Here's a link to a newspaper article about Brent.
