Director of State Legislative Affairs
Adam Basford is the Director of State Legislative Affairs for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation. He is responsible for managing FFBF’s legislative office in Tallahassee and coordinating all of the organization’s state lobbying efforts. From 2008-2012, he directed FFBF’s federal affairs work and served in the Agricultural Policy Division from 2004-2008.
Raised on a Jackson County peanut and hog farm, Adam is the seventh generation of his family directly involved in Florida agriculture. In 2004, he received his master’s degree in Agricultural Communications from the University of Florida. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from the University of West Florida. He is a graduate of Class VII of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
