
Assistant Director, Ag Policy Adam Basford
Adam Basford is an assistant director in the Agricultural Policy Division. He is responsible for providing staff support for Florida Farm Bureau’s citrus, trade and environmental horticulture advisory committees. Previously, Adam has worked as a graduate assistant, as an intern in Farm Bureau’s Public Relations Division and as a youth minister in his hometown of Marianna, Florida. Raised on a Jackson County peanut and hog farm, Adam has a strong agricultural background. In 2004, he received his master’s degree in agricultural communications from the University of Florida. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from the University of West Florida. Adam lives in the Gainesville area with his wife Laura and two sons Jackson and Owen.
