Scottie Butler
Scottie Butler is the administrative assistant to the president and general counsel for Florida Farm Bureau. He assists the president in aspects of management and board relations for the Federation and non-insurance affiliates. His legal duties include advising the board and staff, interpreting legislation and serving as resident agent and assistant secretary-treasurer for the Florida Farm Bureau Companies.
Scottie graduated from the University of Florida with an undergraduate degree in agricultural economics and a J.D. in law. He practiced law in Lake Wales before joining Farm Bureau in the spring of 1970. He served under three governors on the Governor's Advisory Committee on Farm Worker Affairs, represents Florida Ag on the EPA Gulf of Mexico Program Citizens' Advisory Committee, and is currently the Board of Regents appointee to the University of Florida Leadership and Education Foundation.
